Turkey Jerky!

This is a favourite with just two ingredients and no prep time, it’s real a winner!We usually make extra and freeze it so we always have healthy treats to hand.

Simple, delicious, nutritious and best of all dogs love it!


Heat oven to 160 °C.

Peel sweet potato and cook in sauce pan of water until soft and tender.

Mash cooked sweet potato and mix well with turkey mince in large bowl.

Line baking tray with parchment paper.

Transfer mixture into a large zip -top plastic bag

With a scissors carefully cut one bottom corner of the bag about 3/8 inches from the tip.

Twist the top of bag and pipe 4/5 inch strips of jerky mixture.

Bake in an oven for 2 hours and place a wooden spoon between the oven door to keep a jar.

Remove from oven and allow to cool.

Store in refrigerator for 1 week or freeze up to one month.
