Kale and Apple Dog Cake

August 26th is National Dog Day. Show your pooch how much you appreciate them by making a tasty Kale and Apple cake!
Not only is it moist and delicious, it is also packed full super ingredients and nutrients. You might even be tempted to try a bit yourself!
Makes one large loaf cake which can be frozen in slices.

Ingredients:

1 x dessert spoon Flaxseed 
30ml olive oil
150g kale, steamed and blitzed
1 beetroot, finely grated
1 apple, skin on, coarsely grated
1 apple, skin on chopped
200g wholemeal flour

Tips:

You can add some grated carrots and some blueberries to this cake to add some natural sugars and additional nutrients.
If you want to use less oil, you can use apple sauce or apple puree instead.

Method:

Heat your oven to 180C and lightly grease and line a loaf tin
In a large bowl mix all the ingredients together well
Pour into the loaf tin. Bake for 40 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
