Strawberry Doggie Jellies

This dog treat is so simple to make and is super low in calories so great for dogs on a low-fat diet.

Strawberries are such a great ingredient to use and have a delicious juicy flavour dogs love.  Strawberries are rich in Vitamin A & C which are responsible for aiding eyesight, immunity and overall health. Coconut oil is a superfood rich in MCT’s which studies have found help boost your dog’s brain power!

Ingredients:

  • 200g fresh strawberries

  • 4 teaspoons gelatine powder

  • 1 teaspoon melted coconut oil

  • Cookie cutter or knife

Method:

Blend strawberries and coconut oil in food processor until mixture is watery. Pour into saucepan and sprinkle the gelatine powder onto the liquid and mix well.  Bring mixture to the boil and then carefully pour into a plastic or glass container.  Once cooled store in a refrigerator for approximately 2 hours until set and firm. Remove from the container onto a chopping board and either cut into squares with a knife or use a cookie cutter to cut into shapes.

Store in a airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator. Dogs with hypothyroidism should not eat strawberries and please supervise your dog when feeding a treat.
