A Meaty Mutt Loaf is so easy to make, so versatile, and best of all totally nutritious and tasty!! This yummy recipe was chosen based on its yummy ingredients which you can read more about on our blog. You can have fun with these recipes and even soft boil the eggs and add them whole in the middle of the Mutt Loaf (shown above) as a nice surprise for your pet.
Chop and change the ingredients based on your pets tastes and diet, but most of all, enjoy! x
1 Large Sweet Potato, grated
2 medium carrots, grated/cubed
1 Medium broccoli, diced
4 large eggs
500g Lean Beef Mince
1 teaspoon fresh Parsley (for fresh breath – optional)
1 teaspoon of natural calcium powder (optional)
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Combine the potatoes, carrots and broccoli in a large mixing bowl.
Beat the eggs and combine with the potatoes, brocolli and carrots.
Add the beef and mix thoroughly to combine – using your hand works best!.
Finally, sprinkle in the parsley and calcium (if using) and combine.
Divide the mixture evenly between two 5 by 9-inch loaf pans and bake for 1 hour 10 minutes. Ensure it is fully cooked before serving.
Remove from the heat and allow the meat loaves to cool.
These can be sliced up in portions and served. They can also be frozen.
