Every so often a bag of our sweet potato chews will develop some white spots. People often mistake this for mould (green dark spots) but it is actually just the natural starch that is drawn from the sweet potato during the drying process. It can be fed as is, or simply washed or wiped off before feeding to your pet as it is completely harmless. It is the same starch that happens on dried fruit, for example. We don't use any preservatives in order to keep the chews 100% natural.
