What are natural dog treats/healthy bites?
Natural dog treats are treats that are made from ingredients that are found in nature. This can include things like fruits, vegetables, and more. These treats are often healthier for dogs than those that are made with artificial ingredients, and they can be just as delicious!
Are natural dog treats healthy?
Most experts believe that natural dog treats are generally healthier than processed dog treats because they contain fewer additives and preservatives. Natural dog treats also tend to be more digestible and have less sugar.
Can I give my dog a treat every day?
Yes, you can give your dog a treat every day if you want to. There is no harm in doing so as long as the treat is healthy and not too high in calories. Dogs love getting treats and it can be a great way to bond with them. Just make sure that the treat is not the only thing they are eating and that they are still getting a balanced diet.
Soopa recommend the following:
Small dogs (under 10kg) 1/2 stick a day
Medium dogs (10-25kg) 1 stick a day,
Large dogs (over 25kg) 2 sticks per day
What dog treats should you not give your dog?
There are some human foods that can be dangerous for dogs, even in small amounts. Chocolate, coffee, and tea contain substances called methylxanthines, which can cause vomiting and diarrhoea in dogs. Grapes and raisins can cause kidney failure in dogs. Onions and garlic can damage a dog's red blood cells and cause anaemia. Raw meat and bones can contain bacteria that can make your dog sick. And sugar can lead to obesity and other health problems. So, it's best to avoid giving your dog any human food, no matter how tempting it may be.
