A cooling vegan dog treat perfect for warmer weather

These Cucumber & Mint Frozen Dog Drops are a refreshing way to help keep your dog cool during spring and summer. Cucumber is naturally hydrating and low in calories, while mint can help freshen breath naturally. This healthy frozen dog treat recipe is quick to make, packed with natural ingredients and perfect for enrichment activities on sunny days.

Ingredients

  1. ½ cucumber

  2. 1 cup unsweetened coconut yoghurt

  3. 3–4 fresh mint leaves

  4. 1 tbsp chia seeds

Method

  1. Roughly chop the cucumber and mint leaves.

  2. Blend cucumber, mint and coconut yoghurt until smooth.

  3. Stir in chia seeds.

  4. Spoon mixture into silicone moulds or ice cube trays.

  5. Freeze for 3–4 hours until solid.

To finish

These vegan frozen dog treats are ideal after walks or garden playtime. Store in a freezer-safe container and serve straight from the freezer for a cooling homemade dog snack.
