Spinach and Cheese Bites

In the world of leafy greens, spinach is a superstar. This veggie is considered a superfood, meaning it’s rich in nutrients and healthy for both humans AND dogs! Keep in mind, the vegetable should only be fed to them in small portions. Because it’s a superfood, it is filled with numerous vitamins, minerals, and other health benefits such as:
  • Vitamins A, B, C, and K

  • Iron

  • Antioxidants

  • Beta-carotene, which protects the body from damaging free radicals

  • Roughage, which stimulates the digestive tract

For the cheese lovers, we have created this tasty Soopa recipe that will keep your pups happy and healthy!

Spinach and Cheese Bites
Ingredients:
● 2 cups whole wheat flour
● 1 1/2  cup shredded dairy free cheddar cheese
● 1 1/2 tablespoons rice flour
● 1/2 cup spinach, chopped
● 2 eggs
● 1/2 cup water


Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, cheddar, rice flour, and spinach.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk the flax eggs and water together.
4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.
5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
6. Flatten the balls with a fork.
7. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Cool before letting your dog savour the cheesy treat!
