Pear & Ginger Soft Dog Cookies

By Abbie Harris

A gentle vegan dog treat for sensitive tummies

These Pear & Ginger Soft Dog Cookies are soft, chewy and packed with natural flavour. Pears provide fibre and hydration, while a tiny amount of ginger may help support digestion. This healthy vegan dog treat recipe is ideal for dogs who prefer softer snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pear, finely grated

  • 1 cup oat flour

  • ¼ cup rolled oats

  • 1 tbsp unsweetened applesauce

  • Tiny pinch of ginger

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C.

  2. Combine oat flour and oats in a bowl.

  3. Stir in grated pear and applesauce.

  4. Add a very small pinch of ginger.

  5. Form into small cookie shapes.

  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes until soft but set.

To finish

These soft homemade dog treats are best stored in the fridge and enjoyed within a few days. Perfect for older dogs or pups who prefer gentler textures.

A note from our Soopa Nutritionist: Suitable for all pups! Dogs with diabetes feed in moderation or swap the oats for the same amount of flour.
